“This is one of my favorite zombie series.
It is the first book released but second chronologically.
when the book was released it was touted as adult fiction and then when book 2 came out it was re-connect as YA.
The idea of children having to survive a zombie apocalypse is interesting.
Setting it in London and having factions was brilliant.
Following multiple groups is excellent.
The plot is clear, easy to read, witty, and unpredictable.
I am not so familiar with London, I'm from the borderlands near Scotland, but I know the major landmarks so was able to follow their journey from one end of the city to the other easily.

“This is my 3rd or 4th time rereading this book and while it does have its problematic elements, I still love it. It’s dark and gory and I probably should have been a bit older than I was when I first read this 😂”
