The Edge of Falling

By Rebecca Serle
The Edge of Falling by Rebecca Serle digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

From the New York Times bestselling author of In Five Years comes a darkly seductive and “lyrical” (Publishers Weekly) novel about the dangers of obsessive love as a wealthy, Upper East Side teen gets involved with the mysterious new boy at school.

Caggie never wanted to be a hero, but some things are decided for us. Growing up among Manhattan’s social elite, Caggie always had everything she could want, including a storied last name. But after saving a girl from the brink of suicide, Caggie becomes infamous, and now all she wants is to be left alone.

After all, she’s still reeling from the death of her younger sister last January, the subsequent destruction of her relationship with her high school boyfriend, Trevor, and the way in which her family has since fallen apart.

So when mysterious Astor appears on the Upper East Side, he just might be the rescue she needs. But what is he hiding? As life as she knew it begins to unravel, Caggie realizes Astor’s past may be as dark as her own. And in a world in which she’s been branded a hero, Caggie will soon discover that no one can save you…not until you save yourself.

Loudly Crying Face“It was a good book, but not one that really stuck out to me, even though I really like the author!”
“Book 📕 Review 3.5⭐️ No Spice Format: Paperback Genre: YA/ Romance/Literary Fiction Recommend: Maybe to Yes 👍🏽 My Thoughts: This is probably my least favorite book from this author I have read so far; it was just mid for me. It is a young adult book but I personally thought the content was a little more adult like and the characters were too immature for it. I would say if you have a young adult that might be interested in this, to check the synopsis and trigger warnings first. Description: It follows Caggie, who, after inadvertently causing her sister's drowning, is falsely hailed as a hero and struggles to navigate her dark, new romance with the troubled Astor.”
