“Dragon's deep, Cecelia Holland: 2.5*
Vici, Naomi Novik: 3.75*
Bob Choi's last job, Jonathan Stroud: 1*
Are you afflicted with dragons?, Kage Baker: 5*
The Tsar's dragons, Jane Yolen & Adam Stemple: 3* (Sometimes it was boring, but overall a good plot for an enjoyable short story.)
The dragon of Direfell, Liz Williams: 3.875*
Oakland dragon blues, Peter S. Beagle: 5*
Humane killer, Diana Gabaldon & Samuel Sykes: 3.375* (Too long for an anthology! I gradually lost interest in reading this, but it was good enough.)
Stop!, Garth Nix: 4*
Ungentle fire, Sean Williams: 4.5*
A stark and wormy knight, Tad Williams: 2.25* (I loved the style but not the execution, the dialogue between the dragon and the knight is far too long and absurd.)
None so blind, Harry Turtledove: 1*
JoBoy, Diana Wynne Jones: 2*
Puz_le, Gregory Maguire: 4*
After the third kiss, Bruce Coville: 5*
The war that winter is, Tanith Lee: 3.125*
The dragon's tale, Tamora Pierce: 4*
Dragon storm, Mary Rosenblum: 1*
The dragaman's bride, Andy Duncan: 1*
Total: 3.125* = 6+”

“I usually don't like short stories because they're not long enough to really enjoy. As soon as I start to like the characters, world, plot, etc., it's over. But I got this book because I love dragons and I like a lot of the authors that contributed. I didn't read all the stories, but I did enjoy the ones by Jonathan Stroud, Naomi Novik, Tamora Peirce, and Kage Baker. Surprisingly, I did not like Garth Nix's story.”
