The Dorians
ByPublisher Description
The all-new novel of terror from “one of the hottest horror authors on the planet” (Paste) and writer of the #HorrorBookTok sensation The Troop!
On a remote island in the Canadian wilderness, five elderly volunteers from different walks of life are given a tantalizing offer: to stall their biological clocks or even reverse them, restoring their lost youth. The chance to put death on pause—forever, perhaps. The remarkable secret lies in the high-tech harnessing of an ancient and extraordinary biological agent…one with no conscience, yet possessed with a single-minded purpose that has helped it persist for eons: the will to survive. The dark heart of unbridled human ambition finds its apex in an unholy experiment that now tests the limits of both creator and subject, eclipsing all bounds of morality and sanity….

“Good stuff.
I was one of those people who read The Troop and immediately started to seek out more Nick Cutter. I felt like I was chasing the dragon that was The Troop, and was happy to find that this gave me a similar experience.
As with all of his books, expect everything to be pretty gross and over the top. No kidding, the last 100 or so pages were pretty much exclusively body horror that didn’t hold any punches.
What I liked more about this book than any of my previous Cutter reads was how attached I got to the characters. In some of his other books it feels like his characters are a little too expendable, so it was nice to be invested in everyone’s backstories and narrations.
Anyway, very gross, very good, very Nick Cutter.”
“Isolated island, medical experiments to stop/reverse the aging process, unlikeable characters (especially the little pretentious child prodigy doctor running the show), this story is right up my alley. I’m a big fan of Nick Cutter and the way he can describe the most gruesome scenes that make your skin crawl.”
