“Let's start with the bad and the ugly; ... there was no satisfaction? Every story ended with a cliffhanger that lead me to believe-since the stories were all in the same universe, mostly at the same time- that each story was gonna give us a bigger piece of the puzzle until the last story gave us some kinda ending, right? No. Maybe its because I didn't know the universe well? But that doesn't feel like the reason, I understood everything going on, it wasn't hard. I just feel it went no where, and it caused me to rush through the book to finish it.
Now as to why it's not a one star; most of the stories were actually really good. A couple, sure, were kinda eh but that happens with anthologies. There was interesting characters, including decent women, LGBTQIA rep, and cool concepts.
Such a shame, it could've been really good but yeah, didn't really enjoy it...”
