“una storia scorrevole, carina e perfetta da leggere se si vuole uscire dal blocco del lettore.
questa è la terza volta che rileggo questo libro, e la me del 2023 non crederebbe affatto che, tre anni dopo, sarebbe uscita una serie su Hannah e Garrett. e questo mi rende felicissima, soprattutto perché sono qui da un po’.
sicuramente non è un libro originale: cliché, con una trama “tranquilla” e leggera. però ciò che lo rende davvero speciale è la relazione tra i due protagonisti e il modo in cui si sviluppa (almeno per me).
Hannah non è quasi per niente simile a me, ma nonostante ciò mi ci sono comunque affezionata. lo stesso vale per Garrett: non mi somiglia affatto, se non per una questione che mi tocca particolarmente, ma mi è piaciuto sia come singolo personaggio sia come parte della coppia.
insieme sono davvero bellissimi, e ho amato il modo in cui lui si comporta in certe scene, perché alla fine Garrett non è altro che un golden boy. 💙
ho adorato anche i personaggi secondari, così come le amicizie presenti nel libro: quel senso di found family si percepisce già (quasi) da questo primo volume. e io non vedo l’ora di rileggere il libro di Allie e Dean che, per quanto ricordo, è uno dei migliori scritti dall’autrice.
detto ciò, ci sono anche parecchie cose che, alla fine della storia, non mi sono piaciute. forse dipende anche dalla traduzione italiana, ma alcune frasi le ho trovate cringe, avrei tolto una o due scene spicy e alcuni temi trattati avrei preferito fossero approfonditi meglio e in modo diverso.
nonostante questo, resta comunque una delle mie serie sport romance del cuore - soprattutto perché è stata la prima che ho letto - e la consiglierei assolutamente.”
