Dreamcatchers can't ward off nightmares if your nightmare is your reality?

Moving to a small town is the last thing Melanie wanted, but her entire family, even her identical twin, Emily, assures her it's the best thing for her family. But Melanie knows it's just another form of punishment, because that's all her family does to her—punishes her.

Emily just wants her sister back, wants to recover their twin bond after she broke her sister's trust. But something evil is waiting in their new house… When Melanie falls into the clutches of an ancient darkness, Emily is the only one who can save her. Will their bond be strong enough to break the curse? Or will Emily lose her sister forever?

“Cursed by Kristen Ping is fantastic! The author takes some Native American lore and mixes it into this paranormal short story. It is riveting. This story is a real page-turner as you follow along with twin sisters Mel and Em. Their family has moved to a new town, but Mel is far from happy about it. She resents everyone in her family and thinks that they just don't care about her at all. But that is the furthest thing from the truth. When Mel finds a strange huge dreamcatcher strange and frightful nightmares begin. She's tormented and there is no relief in sight. Her sister and mother fear for her, but there isn't much that they can do. With some help Emily will go about finding a means to help her sister, but will she be in time? This story is a real page-turner. I love how Emily cares so much for her sister despite how cruel her sister is to her. I'm disappointed that Mel insists on holding grudges against everyone. I want her to stop being a brat and see reality for what it really is. This story is truly fascinating. The author switches back and forth between the sisters, but does an excellent job identifying the changes. The story is easy to follow and it's easy to tell the difference between the two girls. I am rating this story 5 out of 5 stars. It is well writtten and one of Kristen Ping's best! You will not be disappointed!”
“I absolutely loved The Curse by Kristin Ping. I cannot get over how much I love everything this author comes up with. I read this book in one sitting and with moving a family of five, I am sure you can envision my troubles putting this copy down! Loved the characters, it wasn't the scariest thing I have ever read but when explaining in the book what these two twins dealt with, I can't say I didn't squint or get goosebumps. A very enjoyable YA novel. I cannot wait to see what else this author has up her sleeve!”
