“Over 600 pages and barely anything happens. It’s a lot of internal monologue and the first half feels like rinse and repeat from Rooke’s perspective”
“When I said I wanted enemies to lovers, J Bree delivered. An ENTIRE BOOK and they remained enemies right up until the end. Fated mates who hate each other due to war conflict.
I did find myself annoyed with Prince Soren, especially when she got the plants from the goblin king. I sighed, out loud, dramatically, “they’re just plants!!!”
A great read; for the girlies who need plot in their lives. The second book, for girlies who need smut, seems promising to deliver on the lovers portion of the enemies to lovers trope.
I look forward to finishing the second book and posting my review !”
