The Complete Aliens Omnibus: Volume Five (Original Sin, DNA War)
ByPublisher Description
Original Sin
by Michael Jan Friedman
Centuries after the death of the original Ellen Ripley, her clone has joined the fight against the Alien threat. With the help of an android named Call, a brutal hired gun named Johner, and a paraplegic mechanic named Vriess, she will battle an Alien horror, and discover the answer to a question that pierces the Alien mystery to its seething acid-chamber of a heart.
DNA War
by Diane Carey
In a bleak galaxy, the hospitable planet Rosamond 6 is a rare find. But while it may look like an oasis among the stars, it harbors a fatal secret: it is infested with Aliens. Eager to prove her theory that the Aliens can be reasoned with, anthropologist Jocasta Malvaux has set up an observation post there. And something unexpected happens: the Aliens don't attack. But, why? Could it be that the monsters are evolving? Or is it a matter of time until every person on the planet must fight for their lives?

“There are 2 stories here. Thr Original Sin Ripley is back as a clone infused with Allien DnA. Fighting against aliens and a shadow organisation who apparently have some sort of deal with the Engineers. Secret android uprising. It has a lot of potential for an RPG to continue. I do belive the organisation also in the Building a Better Word stories.
The second story is a lot of emotional drama, clever plots. The DNA war we see the Xenos up close fighting for dominance among each other. The story is whole and has a positive ending.”
“The first book here is one of the best Alien novels ever, pure fun with Ripley and crew in a heist that leads to alien encounters. The second epitomizes my dislike for many Alien books-- too many stupid humans doing stupid things. Hard to care about such idiots. Buy it for the first one. Worth the money. The second is meh.”
