The Callindra Chronicles Book One - First Quest

This Callindra Chronicles follows the adventures of the swashbuckling, magic slinging impetuous young woman Callindra Sol'Estin as she attempts to make her mark upon the world. First Quest covers her younger years as a servant in a Lord's Holding where she attempts to rise above the station her birth and her sex have defined for her. An unfortunate hunting incident leaves her wounded and stranded in an old man's cottage deep in the forest. As she recovers, she learns things about him and herself. Glarian risks his life to protect and train her, going back on an oath and uncovering old enemies. At the same time, dark forces are being unleashed upon the world and many of the gods are strangely silent. It is when she joins a small group of warriors to investigate their silence that their First Quest truly begins.
