The Billionaire's Secret Marriage by Tamie Dearen digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

Stephanie Caldwell fell in love with her boss, but he's too clueless to notice. And being blind is no excuse!

Steph doesn't care that Bran is blind—at least he'll never see the longing looks she gives him. If only she could warn him about the lack of love on his conniving fiancée's face. But Steph has to keep her mouth shut, or she could lose her job, along with the health insurance that keeps her daughter alive.

Billionaire Branson Knight knows women regard him as a pitiful blind man, his wealth his only attraction. So his engagement is merely a means to an end. But the last thing he wants to end is his relationship with Stephanie—he depends way too much on his efficient personal assistant.

Can Stephanie stand by while Bran's devious fiancée coerces him into a quickie marriage? Or will she lose her temper… and everything else along with it?

A grumpy sunshine, forbidden love, opposites attract, lonely loner, billionaire romance that will keep you awake all night trying to reach the satisfying happily ever after. Ready to laugh, cry, sigh, swoon, and fall in love?

The Billionaire's Secret Marriage Reviews

3.5
Beaming Face with Smiling Eyes“I’ve never read a billionaire romance, I just know it’s a very popular rom-com trope. Before all else… content warnings: Sexual content: References to one time the MMC slept with a side character (who was his girlfriend at the time), mentions of sex, the side-character fiancé uses made up stories alluding to sex (even though it never happened), the fiancé tries to seduce the MMC on more than one occasion, reference to a married couple having “made love”, lots of kissing, a side-character makes a joke about everything being bigger in Texas (make of that what you will). All of this is very mild, and my mentioning of it makes it seem worse than it is. Language: No actual curses used, only mentions of characters using an expletive here and there. Violence: None, really. There’s one scene that ends way quickly and shouldn’t bother anyone. Alright, now that that’s done, time for my review. I thought this was a really interesting book in the fact that the MMC is totally blind. I’ve not read a book where a main character has a permanent disability like that. Honestly, you wouldn’t know he was blind. Half the time, I forgot until it was mentioned. The MMC (Branson/Bran) was pretty good. He had his stuff to get through, and he definitely made me smile. He has insecurities he doesn’t want to admit to, but he gets through them… and one especially almost made my eyes wet bc of how precious it was to see him move past it. The FMC was pretty good. I wasn’t really connected to her much, but she was a good character. (Forgive my sub-par descriptions, I’ve been staring at a screen reading this book for a few hours and now that I have switched to a much smaller screen and have to create my own words, my brain has quit.) I loved Fordham (I think that’s how you spell his name). Everybody needs one of him in their lives. Finn was probably my favorite character… I really wouldn’t continue the series (simply bc it’s not exactly my genre of book)… BUT HE IS THE MMC OF THE NEXT BOOK! Y’all… I might… I just might have to read it. I also feel like I should read the book after it… bc Cole is the MMC of that… AND HES A TEXAN! I’m a Texan… there is a kinship there that I can’t explain. If you were a Texan, you’d know what I mean. If I had to give this book an age rating, I’d say 14+. It’s fine, there’s not really any heavy topics, but there’s more use of sexual referencing than someone younger should read (imo at least). Favorite quotes: • An expletive slipped out before he could stop it. Cole let out a low whistle. “Branson Knight said a curse word. It just dropped below thirty-two in hell.” “Shut up, Cole.” • “I need an assistant, Fordham. You can’t do all the things Steph did for me.” Branson raised his voice to be heard outside the closet. “Nor would I ever desire to do so,” he replied, drolly. “I’m afraid I’m not physically attracted to you, in the least.” • “On the contrary, I believe she loves you a great deal… as one loves a trust fund.””
