“This is what I think is supposed to be the second book in the Forbidden Series. It's not labeled here on goodreads but judging from some of the things that happen in this book and the previous book, I think that this was meant to be the second one.
This story is about Javien and Louise. Javien is a billionaire who operates a shipping company. He's made his way up in life starting on the streets of the Bronx and doing some unsavory things to get by. Louise is a professor of Women's Studies at Columbia University. Louise and Javien meet at Louise's sister Chelsea's engagement party. They feel a mutual attraction and agree to a one night stand. Things begin to change as they start seeing each other more and both of them have to decide if they are willing to be truthful about their pasts and really let down the walls they've been using to keep people at bay.
Louise was a really interesting person, at times she was very strong-willed and knew what she wanted and at other times she seemed very confused. But I liked the dichotomy she presented, as most people in real life have different sides to their personality. Javien was just adorable and I loved how he was just so unbelievably confused about his feelings towards Louise. The romance between them was great and was the best part of the story. The side story of the missing friend fell short in this book and kind of seemed to just be thrown in to connect the last book to the series.
I really liked this one and I'm going to be looking into other books by this author.
Thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin for providing me with a copy of this book to read and review.”

“Javien and Louise's story is an interesting one. Louise is working toward gaining back her sense of self-confidence and Javien is trying to redeem himself after youthful bad decisions he made. The Billionaire's Fantasy-Part 1 is a good start to the series but I found the story too short and rushed. I received this book for an honest review.”
About Kate Hewitt
Kate Hewitt has worked a variety of different jobs, from drama teacher to editorial assistant to church youth worker, but writing romance is the best one yet. She also writes short stories and serials for women's magazines, and all her stories celebrate the healing and redemptive power of love. Kate lives in a tiny village with her husband, five children, and an overly affectionate Golden Retriever.
