“OK, it must be said. I didn't like this "Best of" collection anywhere near as much as I liked my previous read, which was just plain old volume 6. I'm going to just say it was a matter of taste - I did not enjoy the stories anywhere near as much, for the most part. There were a couple standouts, and there were a few I actively disliked. It wasn't a matter of quality - they were all well written, well plotted, well edited. I just didn't much care for most of them. But be aware that mileage will vary. I know lots of y'all will think this was a great book. Just no more than ok for me.”
“Easily one of the best and most varied anthologies I've ever had the pleasure of reading.”
“I received this from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This is a sharp collection of horror stories that runs the gamut of all types of horror. As in all anthologies, there are some stories that are better than others, but other all, this was a pretty good collection. The stand-out story for me was probably Drawn by Daniel L. Naden.”
