“I only read Strictly Business, so far.”
“Smut A Thon: Fake Dating
The Best Man is a collection of 4 sexy novella's written by African American women. After reading the last 2 novellas I'm upping my ratings of the first 2 novellas.
Strictly Business by Brenda Jackson - 4 stars
Mitch and Gina used to be married. Their divorce left them both heartbroken. So when Mitch wants to give a no holds barred interview, he picks the best journalist he knows...his ex-wife. Oh and he plans to win her back.
This story was sexy and fun and I was truly rooting for them.
Catch Me If You Can by Cindi Louis - 4 stars
Years ago Lonzell promised Leesa that they would always be together and that he would never abandon her. Cut 4 years later Lonzell has proven himself to be a deadbeat and when Leesa hears he's coming back to town she plans to confront him about a few things.
Leesa and Lonzell's story was sexy and filled with heart. I liked it a lot.
Promises and Vows by Felicia Mason - 2 stars
Jerome and Elise are getting divorced...as soon as their best friends wedding is over. To make matters worse Jerome's Aunt has unexpectedly decided to visit and she's staying with them. So now they have to act like a couple still in love...and they have to share a bed.
This story is the one I'm using for "Fake Dating" since they have fake being happily married. This story was boring and I think the couple should have gotten divorced.
Kidnapped by Kayla Perrin - 2 stars
Jamal and Nia broke up a year ago and now Nia is marrying someone else. Unable to imagine that her soon to be husband can satisfy her sexually, Jamal decides to "kidnap" her on her wedding day.
I was the most excited to read this story but man was I bored. Nia honey Jamal just isn't that into you. He only loves having sex with you.
Overall I liked 2 stories and didn't like the other 2 but I still enjoyed my reading experience. Another plus is unlike with a lot of smutty books in each story condoms were used or when they weren't used at least they discussed rather or not to use them. So major points for that.
I recommend it!”
