“This was such a charming holiday romance. I really enjoy second chance romance stories, and this one was just about perfect. Steve's less than stable childhood added a dramatic layer to the story and Chole's struggles made for a great match for Steve's baggage. The story was a sweet and easy read with an ending that fit the story well. I have had Meghann's earlier Love Inspired book on my TBR for far too long and after meeting the characters from that book in this one, I will be reading it super soon. Now I just need Brett's story! I sure hope his story is planned!!
I received this book from the author and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.”

“Steve has lost his sister and is left caring for his nephew. But he also just started his medical practice and needs to work. So he asks his aunt to help him find a nanny for his nephew. Little does he know that the nanny will be Chloe. Over 10 years ago, he and Chloe fell in love during a summer break, or so they thought. But when Steve never called her, their feelings fizzled out, or did they? With so many years past both Steve and Chloe have baggage that makes relationships impossible. So when she needs him to fake a relationship in front of her ex, things get confusing. He never wants to marry, she is moving away in weeks, and yet they both are finding their arrangement is stirring up feelings they don't want to feel!
Sweet, sweet story. My heartbreaks for Steve's personal struggles due to his past shaping how he sees himself. But thankfully Chloe was able to speak truth and life into him. I had a moment I was at odds with Chloe character , because she was comparing Dan (her ex) with Steve so much her decision making towards Steve was annoying me. But... thankfully she finally gets to see the truth:God is the one in control and not herself. HE is the " captain of her ship, and not her." It doesn't all have to fit in her plan, it just has to bring glory to God's plan.
***Thank you to Meghann Whistler and Book Sirens for this copy of the book. The review is my own opinion .”

“If you like hallmark movies you will like this book. A nice little read, small town, handsome lost love, emotionally wounded girl, its a hallmark Christmas movie. But with a cute baby!”
