“I love the Lazy M series, by Tina Radcliffe. I oddly read this series all out of order, but it didn't ruin the story for me.
In this story Sadie and Drew are both the godparents of Mae their best friends baby. They have just a matter of months to decide who is going to be the legal guardian of Mae after her parents have passed away. They spend weeks getting to know eachother, supporting eachother through Mae's medical care, and just learning how to parent, together. In that time two people that were VERY different from eachother started to rely on eachother, not just as Mae's guardian, but they started relying on eachothers company as well.
This was a sweet story. I have read book 2 and 3 as well, and this one unfortunately wasn't AS good as them. For me, this one took too much time delving into the feelings. There are 12 chapters and I think the first half there still wasn't one sparkle of feelings evolving... which to me, was taking TOO long to get to the point. I kept closing it and taking a break and then coming back trying to get into it. That said, as always it all came together in the end. And it was a great story overall. I'm looking forward to the final story from Lazy M Ranch.”

“I adore a good Tina Radcliffe book. And spoiler alert, that's all of them. She writes such sweet, inspirational, heart warming romance that is just makes you feel good. Even when the book touches on harder subjects, like the loss of friends/family as is discussed in The Baby Inheritance, you still know you're going to get an ending that really makes you smile. I love how Drew and Sadie really balance each other out as their approaches to an emergency parenting situation differ slightly. However, they still also show they are able to make a great team working together. The whole time you find yourself rooting for them to figure out a way to raise Mae together.
*Please note I read this book while experiencing a huge overpowering reading slump. If not for this slump, I feel like I would have so many more great things to say as I feel this review is lacking my usual enthusiasm for a good book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I'm leaving an honest and voluntary review.”
