The Baby Dragon Bakery Reviews

3.0
“I really wanted to love The Baby Dragon Bakery, especially because the idea of a cosy bakery, baby dragons and a friends-to-lovers romance sounded like the perfect combination. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I did enjoy the cosy atmosphere, the bakery setting and all the delicious descriptions of food and baking. Lavinia and Theo also had some genuinely sweet moments, and I liked seeing their friendship develop into something more. The book definitely has that comforting, autumnal feeling that makes it an easy read when you want something light. However, the romance became frustrating for me. There was a lot of miscommunication and back-and-forth between the characters, and at times it felt like the story was moving much slower than it needed to. I also found myself wishing there was more of the magical side of the story, particularly the baby dragons, as they felt less important than I expected. Overall, this was a cute and cosy read with some lovely moments, but it lacked the magic and excitement I was hoping for. I can definitely see why other readers would enjoy it, especially if you love friends-to-lovers romances and low-stakes cosy fantasy, but unfortunately it wasn't quite for me. 2.5/5 ⭐️”
