“Very different to the romance books I’ve read. It has a futuristic feel which also feels very realistic at the same time, like we’re just on the edge of living like this as a society. The spice was minimal however the author made up for that in emotional intimacy. Although it was a calmer read, I was still gripped and massively invested in this relationship. It explored the more deep and unpleasant sides we all have in relationships as well as the effects of what dating is like in the society we live in- not only on us but the others we bring into our lives romantically.”
“Audiobook - read well by one narrator.
I enjoyed the basis for this novel and the ideas presented by the author on how relationships work/evolve/develop. The overall story was missing a bit for me. I did read a very similar book that I felt delved into the aspects of how multiple people would be affected better and explored how this process could affect differing groups. This was a cute story that I could relate to (being stubborn) but didn’t hit the target of depth I had hoped with this topic. Still a good read and I enjoyed all the side bits like with the statue and the friend at Stake.”
“A romance book with a twist?! Such a great read.”
