“Grave Encounters by way of The Descent but in a way that somehow did not grab me.”
“What captured my attention and prompted me to pick this up was the question of “what if Indiana Jones was mixed with the X-Files?”
This novel was an interesting concept and a fast read. I would describe the genre as thriller with a slight bit of horror mixed in. Also, if you like conspiracy theories, you might enjoy this!
It was a fun ride (in the thriller and ‘what’s gonna happen next’ aspect), but I felt the ending was a bit rushed and wrapped up too quickly. There is a sequel, so maybe more themes and points of interest in the story are explored more?

Nice pacing and length, I think the characters each had strong traits and weak points, some were a little underdeveloped but I still think everyone had their own kind of charm that made me well invested.
Great descriptive writing and it felt original, would recommend for a fun cave expedition sci-fi thriller/horror.”
