“I just finished reading The Amish Baker's Rival by Marie Bast and ended the final word of the story with a huge smile on my face and a warmth in my heart. I cannot express enough how delightful I found this story. The characters were brought to life so richly and vividly, that I quickly and easily found myself feeling as though I truly knew them. There was such a great chemistry between the main characters, not only with one another, but with the reader as well. The setting of the story was such a thrill because I lived in the Kalona/Iowa City area for 20 years, so it was such a delight to revisit the area!
This is the first story that I have read by Marie Bast and I cannot wait to read more. Filled with friendship, trust, Faith and family, this was a true delight to read. The Baker's Rival is the perfect treasure to snuggle up with, with a blanket and warm drink and let yourself travel to Kalona, IA and meet these unforgettable characters!”
“This was the sweetest book! It was such a quick and easy read. I loved the writing and how detailed it was. I felt like I was there with Mary in her bakery. All the characters were so generous and nice. The romance was slow and steady, and I loved it! I loved getting to know more about how the Amish live and more about their community. There was great character growth and development throughout the story. Overall, I really enjoyed this Amish romance and would recommend it!

“I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read but at the same time held my interest all the way through. I have not read the two books that come before this but this book can easily be read as a stand alone. Although I must say that after reading this I would like to go back and read about the other characters in the other books. I loved Noah from the first time he appeared in the book and really wanted things to work out with his family. I thought Mary was also a strong character as she knew what she wanted and even though she knew that maybe she should not feel the way she does it all worked out in the end. Worth the read.”
