About Michael O'Neill
Michael O'Neill is a high school teacher from Australia who has had a lifelong fascination with the literary world of Fantasy - starting from his introduction to the genre via J.R.R. Tolkien's books. His favourite books remain the Belgariad series written by David Eddings.
Taking up the challenge himself, he started writing his own book - one single volume that soon turned into a series of four books, with a sequel underway and a prequel planned.
The first book, The Aebeling , was released in April 2014, followed by the others in fairly quick succession. The Eaorl in was published in November 2015, The Marquis in July 2015, and the concluding chapter, The Bretwalda in January 2016. Each book is over 130,000 words. The only one to make it to a printed version is the first, The Aebeling.
In June 2016, a short story under the name of The Gyden II (The Thane) was released to set the scene for the sequel that will be completed in 2017. The first book in the prequel is under consideration and will also be released in 2017 - hopefully.
