“This was an alright installation in the Commonwealth universe. It played out much differently than the previous books did and covered different topics as well, which it did well sometimes and poorly otherwise.
It was quite interesting seeing more of Nigel Sheldon during the earlier parts of the book and I couldn't help but enjoy his chapters but the revolution was easily the most boring and weakest part of the story; especially with how Hamilton decides to end the book.
Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the void from a more technologically advanced side compared to Makkathron (however you spell it) and that world. This book just felt rather weird considering that the book is earlier than the void trilogy yet we have barely heard anything about this world and the impact of it.
