“First off, I LOVE me a medical thriller. I had a lot of fun reading this book. But I have a few issues and thoughts.
- I HATED Ellis. He pissed me off so much. Like bro- you do not care about this patient AT ALL. That fact that he took pride in how many animals he tested the procedure on? Disgusting.
- I pretty much knew where the boss battle was gonna take place, Crichton made it pretty obvious. (To me, at least)
- I felt for Ross in the beginning but by the end, girl shut up. This isn’t about you.
- A few things were phrased in a very icky way. I’m aware- 70s, but as I said with Dean Koontz, no excuse.
Overall: the plot was a new concept to me, I don’t think I’ve read a book that comes close to the themes that were present. It was unsettling at times. I had a lot of fun reading this and I will be reading more from Michael Crichton. (Rip)”

One of the most popular writers in the world, his books have been made into thirteen films, and translated in thirty-six languages. He died in 2008.
