“I purchased this book when it first came out and never read it. In an effort to bring my TBR pile down by 100 older books every year (wish me luck!), I picked this up. I read these stories completely out of order and I'm not sure I recommend doing that. I think they can be read as a standalone but I think it is better reading them in order.
This one was a bit bizarre and I liked it. In this world, the paranormal and psychics are hidden from the "muggles". Crossing the lines is using a cryptologist to help explain away the paranormal. This story moved fast and I enjoyed it. It didn't go as deep into the plot as I would have liked. This entire series always felt more surface level, skimming across the top of the paranormal world. Still, the story is enjoyable and recommended to readers who like plausible shifters and things that go bump in the night.”
