BY THE BOOK...
With her high school reunion coming up, librarian Jayne Gilbert was determined to go with a handsome man on her arm. The problem: finding one. So Jayne decided to rely on her favorite source of instruction: books.
Riley Chambers had no room in his life for women - especially not this gorgeous innocent armed with a book on How to Pick Up a Man.
Unfortunately, women like Jayne had a way of sneaking up on a man, and whether he liked it or not, he was hooked. But had it been by the book?

“Not...awful...for my first Debbie Macomber book. Or, at least, not awful enough for me to not try another of her works.
Short, easy reads are just what you need sometimes. Jayne rushed to judgment about things a bit too much for my liking. Girl, please, stop and think for longer than 2 seconds, but...could have been worse. I read toxic romances, so Riley wasn't the worst I've seen in men. *shrugs*”
“I picked this up expecting a holiday romance, but instead got a 90s mystery/romance, less so mystery though. It was an easy read, although Jayne couldn’t have been more naive and embarrassing. Overall good book for a quick read to end the year.”
