“Candace Fleming is a great storyteller and a very good historian. I don't trust too many contemporary historians but she is one that has proven to be trustworthy. Although I'm not a huge fan of animal stories, this one is pretty interesting. This one is probably a little too juvenile for your reader (there are lots of illustrations and the text is big), but I think they will enjoy it.
