Robert DeMott’s books include Steinbeck’s Reading (1984) and Working Days: The Journal of The Grapes of Wrath (1989). He is editor of the Library of America’s 4-volume Steinbeck collection (1994-2007), and of several Steinbeck novels in Penguin Books’ Classic Series. DeMott serves as the Edwin and Ruth Kennedy Distinguished Professor of American Literature and Writing at Ohio University.
