“This book started very well, the introduction sections established quite well exactly what this book will do, and I even loved how it included people who opened the book to be supportive to someone you know who is undertaking a doctoral study... which is one of many reasons I am reading this book. This book also established where the author's specialism lies, so you have a good impression on whether her specialism which will have some sort of bias over the contents of this book and where it relates with what you are studying. I initially believed this was simply about the workings of a PhD and the PhD dissertation, I was pleasantly surprised that this went into depth about the different types of doctorates and even how they can be funded. There was a section where it listed items to put on to-do lists and I feel it did not format well on the eBook copy I was reading from but this may not be the case for other versions of this book.”
