Publisher Description

"Do you know what love is?"

Adora is a woman trapped on a mysterious island with twenty men who call her wife – and one who does not. Neither she nor they know how they came to be there – yet each one sings the same chorus. She has bound them to her in husbandly rota until she bears a child.

Only one lord quickens her heart. And he, she believes, is the only one whose seed is potent. But Azalel First Gifted is an aloof virgin who runs from Adora at every turn.Is it true, as she claims, that he has excluded her from every marriage contract? Should she believe those who say he is kind, but bashful? Those who claim he's simply jealous? Or those warn her this lord is capable of great cruelty?

Navigating her way through lustful husbands, Adora stumbles across a powerful ally. Through him, she finally succeeds in unleashing Azalel's desires. But success is measured by the price we pay. And this price may mean losing the entire universe.

About JJ Alleson

As someone who's never read Fifty Shades of Grey, and had assumed it was about an older woman dyeing her hair to compete in the job market, JJ Alleson felt that knowledge was enough to write erotic romance.

Her stories root for the underdog - and sometimes the sneaky dog - as well as the silent but deadly manipulative wolf that comes out when the moon is full. If you like romances that are fun, but deep enough to swim in with some philiosophical chewy bits, her stories are definitely for you.

JJ Alleson

Born in beautiful Barbados, and living in the incredible city of London, UK, J. J. Alleson stays in no lane, but traverses merrily into science fiction, mystery, romance, horror, and maverick poetry.

She started writing around 2005 after realising the voices in her head were stories and not an invitataion to the funny farm.

Her stories have appeared in various small press publications, including:

"Shoe Foot Other." Beneath the Twin Suns, ed. Renee Gendron, (Ontario, 2020)

"The One-Eyed Man." The Eight: City University, (London, 2019)

"Leaving Earth." Vintage Voices, Talma Theatre Press, (London, 2019)

"Between a Rock and a Soft Place." The Future Is Short: Science Fiction in A Flash, Volume 3, Lillicat Publishers, (California, 2017)

When not writing, she's busy finding a happy work-life balance and enjoying all the sights available. She is currently finishing a full-length mystery, a science fiction novel, and a collection of non-fiction essays on life.
