Publisher Description

ALICE FEENEYS NEW YORK TIMES AND INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLER

“Boldly plotted, tightly knotted—a provocative true-or-false thriller that deepens and darkens to its ink-black finale. Marvelous.” —AJ Finn, author of The Woman in the Window

My name is Amber Reynolds. There are three things you should know about me:
1. I’m in a coma.
2. My husband doesn’t love me anymore.
3. Sometimes I lie.

Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can’t move. She can’t speak. She can’t open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn’t remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from twenty years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

Anxious Face with sweat“A for effort”
“i think i could pick an alice feeney book out of a lineup these days and that’s not a complaint. i’ve gone from being annoyed at details that seem similar to her other books to accepting alice is just doing what she does best and no matter how we get there, there’s always a twist to be enjoyed. i’ve come to see the best way to read one of her books is to accept you will not grasp everything for the majority of the story, so it’s best to not try to understand and just let it wash over you. i have to say i was shocked by this being her most explicit book i’ve read so far, with it being her first big book. as always, i enjoyed another one of her books and hope to read “i know who you are” to complete the full set. i’ll always think daisy darker is her best work tho which is why this one is only 4/5 from me. still recommend though!”
