First, he jilted her. Then, he humiliated her…

The Weatherby Wallflowers received their unfortunate nickname when Rupert Dupree, the second son of the Earl of Rottenbury, jilted Clarissa, then decamped for the Continent. When a gossip sheet published Rupert's letter forcefully rejecting their proposed union, all four Weatherby sisters became laughingstocks. Clarissa hadn't much been looking forward to marrying a stranger, but she has hated 'Rotten Rupert' ever since.

But you can't keep a Weatherby Wallflower down…

Now the consummate wallflower, Clarissa finds her true purpose: gathering information for the Home Office. It's the one advantage of blending into the wallpaper—nobody even notices that Clarissa is in the room, much less that she is surreptitiously listening to everyone's secrets.

Snowbound with the Scoundrel…

Clarissa's contact at the Home Office gives her the most important assignment of her career: to infiltrate the Countess of Helmsley's Christmas house party and protect a prominent Member of Parliament who has been subject to repeated assassination attempts. Nothing will stop Clarissa from reaching this house party, not even the snowstorm gathering over the Yorkshire moors. She manages to book passage on the last carriage leaving York.

But that's when Clarissa's luck runs out. Because it turns out there's one other passenger crazy enough to brave the moors in a blizzard.

And it happens to be Rupert Dupree…

Snowbound with the Scoundrel is a steamy, comedic Regency Romance that features open-door love scenes.

Snowbound with the Scoundrel Reviews

4.5
“This was so fun! I fell in love with both main characters. Claire is fierce yet willing to admit her faults and wrongs, even more so than that, she WANTS to because she knows it’s right. Rupert is so sweet, the very definition of endearing. I love him with my whole heart😩❤️ At one point Claire says something about how she’d always thought intelligence was the most important trait a potential partner could have but Rupert made her realize kindness is the best of all, I swooned right along with her and swooned extra for my love of her as well 😂 A fun, heartwarming, christmassy spy romance mystery that will have you putting clues together along with them.”
Smiling Face with Heart-Eyes“I loved this story! I loved Rupert and Clarissa! I loved how they respected each other and made sure they saw value in themselves! I loved watching them fall in love with each other, and that first kiss!! 😍 That scene will live rent free in my head for months and years to come! I loved the mystery element of the story. Courtney kept me guessing until the very end and I loved the journey she took me on through this book!”
“If ‘rotten’ is your take on Rupert, than this entire story was absolutely Rotten! And by that, I of course mean an utter delight. Full of joy, a blundering adorableness and the single sweetest hero on the planet. Rupert was the very best surprise after being introduced to a certain perception of him from the past. How quickly Clarissa came to see her own blunder in that mistaken (but understandable) perception was to be expected, for who could possibly dislike this genuine and authentic man after meeting him. I truly enjoyed the playfulness that this story embraced. After year of being on the sidelines, it was fabulous to see Claire shine and gain her own confidence in the process. There was always more to her than a snarky, jaded miss in brown. Courtney wrote this story with such great flow, and the ideal mix of humour, love and mystery. The Weatherby Wallflowers are destined to shatter that misguided stereotype in rapid succession and I for one, can't wait.”
