“Una epidemia de insomnio y pesadillas sacuden Estados Unidos. La gente muere por no poder descansar. Una organización sin fines de lucro trabaja captando donantes de sueño para poder ayudar a lxs insomnes y Trish es una de las mejores captadoras.
Su historia no puede entenderse sin la de su hermana Dory, una de las primeras víctimas de la enfermedad. A lo largo del libro vamos a conocer el mundo de los insomnes, dilemas éticos y un conjunto de personajes poco dimensionales.
La idea del libro me parece espectacular, pero siento que es una premisa muy poco aprovechada. La primera parte la leí rapidísimo. La descripción de la epidemia, el desarrollo de la enfermedad, la descripción de ese mundo distopico me encantaron. Pero hacia el final se pone chicle y confuso. No se entienden las motivaciones de los personajes y ya cansa la mención a la hermana muerta como recurso. Lo recomendaría pero con advertencias.”
