Slam!
ByPublisher Description
Seventeen-year-old Greg "Slam" Harris can do it all on the basketball court. He's seen ballplayers come and go, and he knows he could be one of the lucky ones. Maybe he'll make it to the top. Or maybe he'll stumble along the way. Slam's grades aren't that hot. And when his teachers jam his troubles in his face, he blows up. Slam never doubted himself on the court—until he found himself going one-on-one with his own future, and he didn't have the ball . . .

“I only read this to help my son with a book report but it was over 250 pages so I’m counting it lol”
“I absolutely hated reading when I was younger. I only recall two books that I went out of my way to read while in school, this book and 'Fallen Angels' (Which I may or may not have "borrowed" still to this day from the library). There was something about Walter Dean Myers back then for me that really made me want to read. Fast forward now almost 20 years and I'm rereading them. Next up for me from his works is going to be 'Monster'.”
