“This book started really weirdly.. a lad talking to a poster of Tony Hawk? Nope.
Luckily, I carried on and it gave the real Nick Horny vibes. If you enjoyed About A Boy, you may like this. It's a little YA/new adult but it has the same kind of feel as that book/film and was enjoyable for an afternoon audiobook.”

“I enjoyed this book by Nick Hornby.
The only downside is that I didn’t realise this was a book for young adults, and you could tell when reading it (which is fine, I’m not the target audience for a young adult book). I would have loved this when I was 16/17 years old. At 29 years old, I liked it.
As always with Nick Hornby books, the characters were likeable and hilariously funny. The storyline got a bit dull towards the end, but I still had a good time reading it.
I would recommend this book for a (kind of) light and funny read.”
