Q: Do I have to buy the ebook to participate in a book club?

No, you don’t have to buy the ebook to participate, but we do recommend it to get the most out of your club. There are several premium social reading features that are only available when you buy the ebook, like annotations, reactions, comment threads, resources, discussion prompts, and more, all embedded right in the text. It’s a unique and immersive way to read.

Q: Why can’t I buy the ebook on the app?

It’s annoying, we know. App store rules prevent us from selling directly in the app, so for now you can only purchase ebooks on our website. Don’t worry: when you purchase an ebook on the web, it’s automatically added to your bookshelf in the app.

Q: How is Fable’s reader different from Kindle?

Kindle is a straightforward e-reader; Fable is an interactive e-reader that includes social features inside the ebooks. When you read an ebook on Fable, you can see and react to the text with others in real time. Start a discussion, share highlights and quotes, add emoji reactions—all of it lives right inside the book. It’s hard to explain and easy to see, so we recommend reading the free sample in one of our most active clubs to get a feel for it.

Most of our clubs are completely free to join. The only exceptions are clubs marked as “Premium” or “Career Development,” which do require a fee. You can find out more on each club’s detail page.

“This was one of those standalone novels that I still think about out after reading it last year. It was pretty dark to an extent, however I felt like this made it easier to connect and feel what the mc was experiencing. I wish this book got more hype, because I think it’s a good bridge book between ya fantasy readers and those who like Viking era books as well.”

“This book screams ‘young adult’, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I think ‘Sky in The Deep’ fits well for younger readers and is a good book to start with if you want to start reading. It is fantasy, containing vikings and mildly cute-toxic romance (‘who did this to you?’ -trope). It seems like Young focused more on the situation and thoughts rather than the setting, though I liked her writing style. Fiske is the love interest, and we like him. Cute brother’s best friend.”

Because this book made me feel so many things. I cried, laughed and was so stressed for these characters I a not sure how I am going to function now that it is done with for a while. I know I am going to be buying two copies of this book as well as the audiobook if we get one. It is going straight on my favorites shelf. But let me give you the summary so you know a bit of what I am talking about. Sky in the deep "OND ELDR. BREATHE FIRE. Reading that summary way back in December of last year. I know I was going to love this book. And thank goodness I was right. This book takes place in a world, not like ours but kinda if you go back ages to hen our world had Vikings. Pretty much what I am trying to say is that this world didn’t feel forgiven. it felt like home already. I was able to quickly understand everything that was going on, the belief systems of the people and the blood war. From there I got to really know the characters. And I felt for them. I was in the middle of one of the harder scenes for our MC and I broke down and cried for the loss she experienced and what she was experiencing at that moment. now I have teared up in other books, but this is the first time I have fully broken down and cried for almost a good 20 or more minutes for this character. I didn’t want to sleep, I just wanted to keep reading. And unfortunately, I had to make myself stop because I worked the next day. But Every chance I got a moment to read, you know I was back in this world. It brought me to such a raw point that I feel that everyone needs to experience this dark, enchanting book.
