Sinister Little Serenade

By Joan De La Haye
Sinister Little Serenade by Joan De La Haye digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

Most people visit Venice for gondolas, gelato, and the Vogalonga. I came to assassinate a former CIA asset named Giovanni Malvetti.

Malvetti isn't just a target—he's a message. One bullet, one splash, and one body sinking beneath the festive chaos of Venice's biggest rowing event. Clean. Efficient. Professional.

At least, it was supposed to be.

But—as usual—my agent Jane had to complicate things with one of her "competency tests." Now I'm racing through opera houses, diving down alleyways, and sprinting across sinking city streets with half of Italy's law enforcement on my heels.

If you love cat-and-mouse chases through romantic cities, assassins with trust issues, and tension sharper than a stiletto blade, Sinister Little Serenade will steal your breath, your passport, and maybe your heart—before vanishing in the crowd.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ /5 💭 My Thoughts Yesss Marin, get it gurrrlll 👏🔥👏. This installment of the Holiday Quick Kills series was such a fun, fast-paced ride and honestly one of my favourites so far. Venice makes the perfect backdrop for chaos, secrets, and assassination missions 🇮🇹🖤, and watching Marin navigate another high-stakes assignment while Jane continues to keep her on her toes was incredibly entertaining. The action felt sharp, cinematic, and nonstop, with just enough tension to keep me fully hooked from start to finish ⚔️✨. What I continue to love about this series is how effortlessly Joan blends danger, dark humour, and adrenaline-packed storytelling. Marin remains the ultimate morally grey heroine, competent, deadly, and impossible not to root for 😌🩸. And can we talk about Marin and Alessandro for a second… 👀🔥 because I absolutely need more of them. The chemistry, the tension, the potential? Yes please. Immediately. Another addictive installment that proves this series just keeps getting better, and once again I’m ready for my next mission alongside Marin 🖤✨.”
“We are back with Novella #6 Sinister Little Serenade with our favorite Assassin Marin!!! We took a trip to Venice, to try to take out a former CIA Agent. At the beginning we also learn that Marin HATES pigeons (LOL). Also, can I say I highly dislike Jane (Marin's "handler"). Like seriously all these little tests like you don't know our girl Marin is a tough cookie? Oooo that ending though Joan De La Haye, chef's kiss. I need the next one asap!!!”
