“2.5 Niente di che, per me è stato difficile finirlo, a un certo punto succedevano sempre le stesse cose e niente che mi spingesse a continuarlo. Il protagonista che andava da Bran, tornava dalla sorella, parlavano e via via un circolo vizioso che si è ripetuto per tutto il libro. Lento e davvero frustrante. A volte mi arrabbiavo con Connor perché si lamentava di Bran che gli diceva di fare delle cose e lui non voleva farle perché pensava alla scuola. Scusami? Il tuo amico non parla, ha subito un trauma, è stato chiuso in un centro, potrebbe essere accusato e processato e tu ti lamenti che devi studiare? Lui è stato l’unico ponte per Bran e a volte mi impensieriva il modo in cui poco si preoccupasse per questa cosa. Per non parlare di come si sia infatuato di Vivian appena l’ha vista, credendo alle sue parole e non al suo migliore amico quando gli ha raccontato della situazione a cena da Margaret.
Mi è sembrato stupido anche il modo in cui Vivian non sia stata accusata di niente all’accaduto e Bran sia stato messo in un centro da subito. Finale troppo frettoloso nonostante si siano toccati temi delicati. I genitori di Bran completamente assenti. Quel povero Bran lasciato a se stesso nonostante il trauma. La ciliegina sulla torta è stato il padre che non è voluto andare per via legali con Vivian. Ma davvero? Tua figlia è quasi morta, probabilmente avrà danni a vita, tuo figlio è stato quasi accusato per questo e tu, da padre, lasci correre la cosa? Io scioccata.
L’idea era carina, a me piacciono un sacco questi generi di libri di formazione, familiari, amicizia, eccetera, ma questo mi ha deluso.
