“A great autobiography that strikes a balance between being a woman’s unique journey through life and helping explain why many others go through similar patterns. It follows Dot through a difficult childhood where she witnessed her mother being abused and her own relationship with a seemingly wonderful guy who turned into a dangerous and cruel husband. Coming from a home where I saw my mother abused, I found how the author explained her beliefs and actions cathartic. And I believe it would be a great book to explain how and why many women become trapped in abusive relationships. But the author is even better at explaining her own shortcomings and God’s love and strength.”
