Sid Vicious & The Broken Tree
ByPublisher Description
Poet Wilhelmina McFadden presents her Sid Vicious masterpiece poem in two-thousand words. No other poet has been as prolific to honor the lost soul.
Forget the fireflies,
Revelation never seem to come,
Again it’s just a change of time,
Now I know it’s a season of whither,
Killing time deep in my soul,
I will never forget all the lies,
Sacrificed the bullet for an empty gun,
Someday it will drift into a forgotten crime,
Oh lord knows it’s but a season of whither,
Seven lies multiplied by seven still comes up an empty hole,
And John the Revelator should bow his head in shame,
Don’t tell me its judgment day because I have no alibi,
Tell me you have a solution,
I know it’s just a season of whither,
Revolutions and revelation what’s to say,
Even dreams must take blame,
Do tell for I love a good lie,
Even if its self-pollution,
Raining hard in your season of whither,
Life is but a tune some play,
Pound the music in my head,
Scream out loud for the dead,
Do it to the beat for Sid,
One man’s season is another man’s wither
Let’s dance with the dejected,
Forget the fireflies,
Revelation never seem to come,
