"Shouldn't You Be in School?"

By Lemony Snicket
"Shouldn't You Be in School?" by Lemony Snicket digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

"Fans of Snicket's previous outings will devour the latest entry."―School Library Journal

Before the Baudelaires became orphans, before he encountered A Series of Unfortunate Events, even before the invention of Netflix, Lemony Snicket was a boy discovering the mysteries of the world. This is his story.

Young apprentice Lemony Snicket is investigating a case of arson but soon finds himself enveloped in the ever-increasing mystery that haunts the town of Stain'd-by-the-Sea. Who is setting the fires? What secrets are hidden in the Department of Education? Why are so many schoolchildren in danger? Is it all the work of a notorious villain? How could you even ask that? These are all the wrong questions.

Maybe you should be in school?

The mystery continues in Why Is This Night Different from All Other Nights?, which is available now.

Thinking Face“This was my least favorite so far among the series. It feels like the mystery just keeps on dragging and it leaves you confused at the end. I liked their teamwork though. It's nice that snicket and his friends/associates of VFD are there for him but I wished he trusted them more and let them in on his plans. Although I do understand where he is coming from, it just makes me sad for him. Also felt disappointed that he's too focused on the town mystery that he can't help his sister even in the smallest way possible. By the end I felt kind of frustrated and just sad. For me the adult characters in this book seem useless to be honest.. can't even rely on them. But I think it was also intended by the author? I do hope the final book will tie everything up nicely.”
Surprised Face with Open Mouth“Lemony. once again. so good. I, a grown woman, felt anxiety over this book and gushed about it in public to another adult.”
