“An AWESOME read. Informative and inspiring.”
“I devoured this book. I took an American feminism class in college and thought that this book would be a bit of a brush up on what I learned in one of my favorite classes. It was that and more. The author takes the time to talk about the well-known figures of the suffragist and other feminist movements, but also highlights the nuances of those people. And highlights people who have been marginalized by the movement and whose voices are not as often heard. This book was enlightening, inspiring, and a joy to read.”
“This was absolutely incredible. I said early on that it was already the best and most engaging nonfiction book I've ever read and that absolutely held true throughout. The art was beautiful and empowering; the narration was matter of fact and conversational; the content was inspiring and maddening. I learned so much about both the classic and modern histories of suffrage and feminism in the United States.
I wish that every American, male and female, would read this with an open mind.”
