Publisher Description

I don't think I'll ever find a light that shines as bright as you.

London, 1814: hopelessly romantic fae Keelan Cricket has grown listless since returning to town. He agrees to help the Council study fae-human magic, eager to erase the memory of his passionate encounter in the country.

But the man he can't forget is now in London and, even worse, joining the project too.

Silas Rook-Worth hates London. His magic won't behave and he's weary of the prejudice he faces against fae-humans like himself. He's counting down the days until he can return to his hard-working, close-knit family — but he can't ignore the pull he feels toward Keelan Cricket, the man he slept with, and unkindly dismissed, a month ago.

As the two men gradually reunite, their mutual attraction blossoms into romance. But even a powerful magical connection cannot change Keelan's duty to his family or Silas' impending departure — and falling in love on borrowed time will force both of them to decide what truly matters.

Shade Spells with Strangers: A Queer Historical Romance Reviews

“Cute and cozy. The characters in this installment and the prior two are just so tender, nice, and respectful. I absolutely love the way this author writes romance. They all seem to care so much about each other and I love it so much.”
“These F&HR stories just keep on building and building in the most magical way. The way that the council’s work keeps evolving from each book to the next. The way that the MCs from the previous books are still so present (and in love) in this book, and the way that the new MCs have a story and love that is so different from the previous MCs. The author’s are truly weaving together a magical and beautiful world/story!! Cricket and Silas had so much passion, yet also were so tender and loving (once they stopped standing in their own way). The slow burn did feel a little long, but once it ignited, it was beyond a shadow of a doubt that they belonged together!! I can only hope that we see their love and relationship continue to grow within the fourth and final installment of the series!”
