Second Chance Boyfriend
ByPublisher Description
From breakout author Monica Murphy comes the exhilarating conclusion to Drew and Fable’s story—the star-crossed young romance that began in One Week Girlfriend.
Lost. Everything in my life can be summed up by that one sickening word. My football coach blames me for our season-ending losses. So does the rest of the team. I wasted two whole months drowning in my own despair, like a complete loser. And I lost my girlfriend—Fable Maguire, the only girl who ever mattered—because I was afraid that being with me would only hurt her.
But now I realize that I’m the one who’s truly lost without her. And even though she acts like she’s moved on and everything’s fine, I know she still thinks about me just as much as I think about her. I know her too well. She’s so damn vulnerable, all I want to do is be there to help her . . . to hold her . . . to love her.
I just need her to give me one more chance. We may be lost without each other, but together, we’re destined to find a love that lasts forever.
BONUS: This edition includes an excerpt from Monica Murphy's Three Broken Promises.

“I thought this book was a good follow up to the first one. I thought the characters were believe able and realistic because it showed that they both had problems and it was good for Fable to open up to Drew about her life and family life as we’d not seen and that in the first book and even though she was kind of forced to due to the circumstances of her mother taking all their stuff from out of the apartment and basically disappearing. It was good for the author to show “unperfect” characters because it creates relatability to others and at the end of the day no one is perfect and Drew and Fable (I believe) both fit perfectly for each other. I thought they both of the characters changed and grew as at the start Fable hated Drew and didn’t really understand why he did what he did at the end of the first book but they both regrew their relationship to be what they wanted it to be at the end. They were both very likable and I did like their dynamic although the only thing I thought was a bit odd was when there was a problem they wanted to go straight to each other which is obviously the right thing to do but they would go and sleep together and I just think maybe that’s a problem or could be in the future as they aren’t really expressing their feelings to one another and I feel like that’s what majority of people would do first although it’s good that they have that sort of comfortability and that they are the first person they think of when they need someone it shows there’s a strong connection there. I thought Adele and her plot line was very engaging and I really wanted to know what was going on with her. Sometimes I did feel like her plot line carried the book a little because there wasn’t much going on with Drew and Fable because they were happy with one another so I liked that switch between plot lines. I did feel like her death was slightly abrupt and that’s only because I wasn’t expecting it but when I think back because the fact that she felt like she had no one as she’d had an affair with people and had nothing to her name and even Drew didn’t like her (for obvious reasons) she felt that was the only way out by killing herself so I understand that. From me and I think it’s because of the type of book it is there wasn’t much impact and that also might be because I read this book a week ago and now don’t remember all of the details I found it educational as we got to see more of Fables life and how she was struggling with it and the rebuild of Drew and his dads relationship so I thought that was nice. It also showed there’s break down of a relationship between Adele and his dad which I thought was good in a sense to see his dads thought process on things and how it changed every minute. And I thought the ending was very rewarding because the villain had gone and Drew and Fable were happy together. I think what also should have been added was how Drew and his dads relationship was now that everything had been out in the open maybe Ben a glimpse of it and how everyone was doing mentally but at the same time I understand why that wasn’t added due to the fact it is Fable and Drew’s relationship I just think that would have added a nice touch. Monica Murphy’s writing style in the book was obviously so good I like her writing style and the fact that it was dual perspective I thought was a good touch which was like that in the first book her style made it continue at a steady paced and also made it easy to read for me. Overall if you like a good Monica Murphy book this is definitely a book you should read especially if you’ve read the first book.”
