“Upon requesting this book, I didn’t realize it was the last book in a series I hadn’t read… but it didn’t matter! It took me just a minute to get my bearings but I was able to dive right in and really enjoyed this quick romantic suspense escape with an older heroine and her trusty K9! Arthur the dog was such a great character!
I enjoy second chance romances, and this one is a doozy. Beth and Jack have quite this history, but it was so long ago. When Jack reaches out, is this widow brave enough to find out what he needs to tell her about the son they gave up for adoption? But then Jack is attacked- is it related? How long will it take for him to regain his memories to help the case?
A great suspense ride! This story kept me turning pages. I also would love to get the opportunity one day to go back and read the rest of the series, because this finale was really well done.
