"Fun, sexy and unputdownable--a classic."  --Marian Keyes
"Flawlessly entertaining."  --Helen Fielding
"Joyful and mischievous." --Jojo Moyes

The glamorous, cutthroat world of 1980s British television is all about power, a time when the affluent elite existed in a bubble of immense wealth and influence, and would use any means to get what they wanted. Lord Baddingham is desperate to retain the Corinium TV franchise. And to do so, he’s hired Declan O’Hara, an Irish talk show mega-star. Baddingham has also enticed on board Cameron Cook, a gorgeous and brash executive, to produce Declan’s program. But Declan and Cameron detest each other, soon provoking a storm of controversy.

Enter into the fray everyone's favorite deliciously handsome, hate-to-love-him bad-boy, Rupert Campbell-Black. As a rival group emerges to pitch for the franchise, reputations ripen and decline, true love blossoms and burns, marriages are made and shattered, and everyone is competing—in bed and in the boardroom—to come out on top.

Beaming Face with Smiling Eyes“wow! loved the series, loved the book! I did knock a point off because I had to look past a lot of questionable comments about age (however you do have to bare in mind this book was written in the 80s). if you've watched the show, please read the book, the show is such a good reflection of the book (with a few things added in to dramatise things and make it 2 series of TV). The start is a little slow, mainly focusing on Tony and corinium, but as soon as the O'Haras move in you get enticed into the story and it's hard to get out, I absolutely love all of the drama in this book, I am a drama girl. And rupert and taggie have my heart! I can't wait to see how the show ends knowing how the book went! ALSO.... MAUD YOU TRAITOR!!!”
Beaming Face with Smiling Eyes“I read this after getting hooked on the tv series and I loved this too. Some behaviour and language is clearly a product of its time but I loved the drama, the campness, the rich tapestry of characters. A really fun carefree summer read”
