“The second installment to the Fablehaven series. This may be my favorite out of the series as we are introduced to a few of my favorite characters, Warren, Tanu, Vanessa and Coulter. This book takes place the next summer after the events of the first book. This is a very fast paced and plot heavy book, that focuses on the aftermath of the first book. There is a main plot with a couple side plots set up for the continuation of the series. We learn about the secret Knights of the Dawn, the Sphynx, about Kendra's new affiliation with fairies and the series main villain's the Rise of the Evening Star. I highly recommend this series to any fantasy reader, even if you don't read middle grade!”
