Resurrection Walk

By Michael Connelly
Resurrection Walk by Michael Connelly digital book - Fable

Publisher Description

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Michael Connelly: Lincoln Lawyer Mickey Haller enlists the help of his half-brother, Harry Bosch, to prove the innocence of a woman convicted of killing her husband. Inspiration for the #1 TV show on Netflix, The Lincoln Lawyer series.

Defense attorney Mickey Haller is back, taking the long shot cases, where the chances of winning are one in a million. After getting a wrongfully convicted man out of prison, he is inundated with pleas from incarcerated people claiming innocence. He enlists his half brother, retired LAPD Detective Harry Bosch, to weed through the letters, knowing most claims will be false.

Bosch pulls a needle from the haystack: a woman in prison for killing her husband, a sheriff’s deputy, but who still maintains her innocence. Bosch reviews the case and sees elements that don’t add up, and a sheriff’s department intent on bringing quick justice in the killing of one of its own.

Now Haller has an uphill battle in court, a David fighting Goliaths to vindicate his client. The path for both lawyer and investigator is fraught with danger from those who don’t want the case reopened and will stop at nothing to keep the Haller-Bosch dream team from finding the truth. Packed with intrigue and courtroom drama, Resurrection Walk shows once again that Michael Connelly is “the most consistently superior living crime fiction author” (South Florida Sun Sentinel).

Slightly Smiling Face“a lower entry for me in series, but still very enjoyable. this felt less like a heart pounding Lincoln lawyer story and more of the interlude as we fall into a new phase of the series. it definitely felt like the case was second to the story that was more a focus on Harry and Mickey's relationship as brothers and definitely Harry Bosch's place in life. reading this gives me understanding why Micheal Connelly is giving us a new series with a fresh character. over all this book felt more heartwarming then thrill like the rest of series. not one of my favorites, but still a solid entry. this series never disappoints even on lower moments.”
“i love how connelly writes. he does a good deep dive into investigations and trials and puts plot twists in the perfect spots. i enjoyed the dual POV in this book and getting a look at how to prove a case of being wrongly convicted. i also enjoy how connelly makes you understand the characters and their lives, even without it being the main focus. if you like thriller, mystery, or detective work in your books, then you’ll definitely want to read this one.”
Slightly Smiling Face“I like that Bosch is written as his age. He's not out there tackling bad guys and doing anything overly strenuous. My mind was waiting for a kind of "hanging off the railcar" scenario and then I'm thinking, "dude is seventy, he'll die from running too hard." 😄 Mickey seems to be caring more about the actual innocence as opposed to just getting the "Not Guilty" verdict.”
