“I couldn’t put this book down! I read it in one sitting and absolutely loved it. It’s the perfect mix of enemies to friends to lovers and grumpy vs sunshine, and the story was so heartwarming. Meg is a widow with two young daughters, struggling to make ends meet. She lives next door to Cay, who, along with her sisters, plans to open a Rescue Farm on the property. While Meg isn’t technically family, she cares deeply for Cay and her sisters, everyone except for Grant. When Grant walks into her diner, the tension between them is instant. He wants Cay to sell the land, while Meg is determined to support her plans for the farm. Grant is in town to convince his mom to sell and has been forced to take time off from work due to some career issues. With Meg and Cay living so close to one another, Meg and Grant find themselves spending a lot of time together. Though they seem like complete opposites, they begin to open up to each other, despite the fact that it’s not a good idea. He’s leaving soon, and Meg has made it clear that someone like him is too risky for her. She lost her first husband to a dangerous job, and she’s not willing to go through that again. So, they try to fight their feelings, both agreeing it can’t be anything more. But is anything impossible with God? Will Cay and her sisters manage to open the Rescue Farm? Can Meg find a way to stay afloat financially? Will Grant ever figure things out with his career? And could there be a chance for him and Meg after all? You’ll have to read to find out, but I can already tell that this Rescue Farm series is going to be incredible. I’m so excited for Carly’s story next! I received a complimentary copy of this book.
