“I genuinely wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Infact I flew through it. It didn't feel like a 550 page book at all to me!! I love the characters and the characters dynamics. I love the dual pov. Although I saw the "twists" or rather surprises coming, it didn't lessen the enjoyment. “I loved the idea of the plot and initally it was really good! The dramatic background of Nova's childhood and what motivates her was really compelling. However the book got quite slow and even dull at times. The dialog between some characters was a bit too young and a bit try hard at sounding young too, that was a little cringe! But the last third of the book was so compelling and that ending was SO good! I'm happy to say overall I did enjoy it, I will continue the series for sure!”Tasj

“I did not expect to enjoy this book even half as much! Superheroes aren't normally my vibe but I was curious about this one! Slightly slow paced to start but I got into it pretty quick and once in, it was all go! I definitely didn't see the ending coming and it sets up the rest of the series well.
