“Probably my favourite in the series so far, this was so cute!
I'm not usually a fan of the accidental pregnancy trope but it worked well for this book, mainly because the FMC actually wanted a child
I thought the romance in this was really compelling. Winter learning to trust and open up and Theo proving himself to her. It also made a change to read a book where the FMC is grumpy and the MMC is the sunshine, because in most I've read it's the other way round.
Overall a light, fun read, exceeded my expectations”
“Read the first 2 books in the chestnut springs series, a long time ago and loved book 2, but wasn't very impressed by book 1 (flawless) simply because it focused quite a bit, thematically on bull-riding, and that just wasn't something i was interested in.
A few pages into this and i had to go back and skim a little to refresh my memory, because of just how much 'flawless' and 'reckless' are connected. Which is why, going in, i was expecting to not like it as much; weirdly though, this time around, I liked the little bull riding snippets.
Winter was a well written, layered fmc. There was existing conflict with established characters. The writing flowed well, and there was some smart writing, with the author holding on to the one night stand scene till the end (didn't love that but it is what it is)
Overall i had fun reading it. An easy quick read with likeable characters, perfect if you want a nice cute romance. Hadn't read the secret baby trope before this, so that was new too! Please pick this up :))”
“Nothing better than a cocky MMC who’s sure enough for the both of them”
